Samim Networking Event

At Ayass Hotel on 7/12/2023, JYIF hosted an uplifting networking event to honor the achievements of the first-cycle winners of the Samim project. The event served as building bridges, bringing together these winners, along with CSOs, NGOs interested in applying for the second cycle, and representatives from the French Development Agency and the French Embassy in Jordan.

The event commenced with a moment of silence for solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Palestine. Following this, an introduction to JYIF and its projects paved the way to spotlight Samim as a standout initiative. Ali Haddad, JYIF’s Executive Director, set the tone by saying, “Today, we celebrate one year of Samim project.” The primary goal was to unite civil society organizations and NGOs in Jordan for collaborative networking. This provided a platform to nurture partnerships and collaborations among these entities.

Samim Second Cycle Information Session:

With the second cycle of Samim on the horizon, an informative session shed light on the project’s scope, eligibility criteria, and the types of projects accepted by the Samim grant. Encouraging and inspiring potential applicants to craft bold proposals for sustainable change.

A Panel Discussion on ” Increasing Youth Active Participation Towards Sustainable Cities”

Moderated by our program director, Aya Al Hrout, the panel discussion transformed into a stage for first-cycle winners to share their valuable experiences. Under the banner of “Increasing Youth Active Participation towards Sustainable Cities,” they offered practical strategies and inspiring stories, proving that youth-led initiatives can truly lead the way towards a greener future.

Coffee and Connections: Brewing Partnerships for Impact:

As the panel drew to a close, the aroma of coffee filled the air, inviting everyone to mingle and connect. This wasn’t just about casual conversations; it was about forging partnerships, exchanging ideas, and creating the potential for impactful collaborations. For those considering the second cycle, it was a chance to glean insights from successful winners and build bridges for future project partnerships.
